Summer Home Maintenance Checklist – Get your house & yard in great shape!

• Inspect your driveway and walkways. Repair any cracks. Summer is a great time for seal coating asphalt driveways.
• Lubricate your garage door.
• Inspect your property for dangerous trees/branches.
• Trim bushes and consider spraying and feeding your trees and shrubs.
• Take care of your lawn. Water and fertilize as necessary.
• Maintain your lawn mower.
• Pools – Maintain your pool and make sure to keep the pool area safe for kids. Get your kids swim lessons.
• Look for signs of insect infestations on your house, trees and shrubs. If you find anything, hire a professional exterminator/pest control company.
• Wash or pressure wash sidewalks, siding, decks, etc.
• Replace your air conditioning filter.
• Have your air-conditioning system serviced if you didn’t do it in the spring.
• Clean refrigerator coils to help it run more efficiently.
• Replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
• Inspect your roof. Check for any signs of damage that should be repaired.
• Have your septic tank inspected and pumped by a professional.
